Apparel Sampling & Prototyping — Get Your Sample Before Bulk

ZN Apparel Manufacturers produces pre-production samples for every client before any bulk order begins. Your sample is built to your approved tech pack with all construction details, fabric, branding and decoration applied so you see exactly what your customers will receive before a single unit of bulk production is confirmed.

Capability

Trusted Clothing Sample Manufacturer for Brands Worldwide

Sampling is the single most important stage of apparel production — and the most commonly skipped by brands using low-quality manufacturers. ZN Apparel Manufacturers makes sampling mandatory for every first-time style. No bulk production begins without an approved sample. This protects your brand from receiving garments that don't match your design intent.

  • 7–10 business day sample lead time
  • Full construction, fabric and decoration applied in sample
  • Private label branding applied to sample — see it exactly as customers will
  • Sample cost credited in full to your bulk order on confirmation
  • Multiple sample rounds if required — no hidden charges on first revision
  • Sample retained on file for reorders
What we deliver

Sample Types We Produce

Fig. 01 — Fit Sample

Fit Sample

Produced in a substitute or approximate fabric to check pattern fit and construction before committing to production fabric. Fastest and most economical sample type. Ideal when fit is the primary concern.

Fig. 02 — Sales Sample

Sales Sample

Produced in your chosen fabric and decoration for use in sales presentations, lookbooks and pre-order campaigns. Full production quality — indistinguishable from bulk.

Fig. 03 — Pre-Production Sample

Pre-Production Sample

The final sample produced in your exact production fabric, trims, decoration and packaging — approved before bulk production begins. This is the standard sample type at ZN Apparel Manufacturers for every first-time style.

Process

Our Sampling Process — From Concept to Pre-Production Sample

01

Tech Pack Review

Our production team reviews your tech pack or design brief before sampling begins. Any ambiguities, missing specifications or construction questions are clarified with you before the first sample is cut — reducing the chance of a revision round.

02

Fabric & Trim Sourcing

Your chosen fabric and all trims — labels, zippers, buttons, drawstrings, elastics — are sourced or confirmed before cutting. You receive a fabric swatch and trim card for approval before the sample is made if required.

03

Sample Construction

The sample is constructed by our most experienced sewers following your tech pack to the letter. All construction details — seam types, stitch density, topstitching, pocket placement — are applied exactly as specified.

04

Decorations & Branding

Printing, embroidery, labels and packaging are applied to the sample so you see the complete finished product — not just the sewn shell. Woven labels, hang tags, poly bags and printed decoration are all included on the sample.

05

Delivery & Approval

Your sample is photographed, packaged and shipped to you for review. You provide feedback — approve, revise or reject. On approval, bulk production begins. Revisions go back through the sample process without restarting the lead time from zero.

Facility

The Best Sampling Service for Fashion & Apparel Brands in USA

The difference between a manufacturer who skips sampling and one who doesn't is visible the first time a customer opens their order. ZN Apparel Manufacturers treats sampling as a production stage — not an optional add-on — because the cost of one sample round is always lower than the cost of a bulk rejection.

Next step

Clothing Sample Vendors That Deliver in 7–10 Business Days

Our 7–10 business day sample lead time applies to all standard garment types — t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, polos, activewear and more. Complex constructions such as jackets, outerwear and denim may require 12–15 business days for a complete pre-production sample. Your project manager will confirm the exact timeline when your order is accepted.

FAQ

Sampling, answered.

Is the sample cost refundable?

Sample costs are not refunded but are credited in full toward your bulk order. If you decide not to proceed with bulk production after receiving your sample, the sample cost is forfeited.

How many revision rounds are included?

One revision round is included at no additional charge. Further revision rounds are charged at a reduced rate. We encourage thorough feedback after the first sample to minimise revision cycles.

Can I order samples of multiple styles at the same time?

Yes. Multiple styles can be sampled simultaneously. Each style is treated as a separate sampling project with its own timeline and sample cost.
