Embroidery Techniques We Offer

Fig. 01 — Flat Embroidery

Flat Embroidery

Clean, detailed, flat embroidery for logos, text and graphic elements. The most common embroidery technique available on all garment types and placements. Up to 15 thread colours per design.

Fig. 02 — 3D Puff Embroidery

3D Puff Embroidery

A foam base placed under the embroidery thread creates a raised, three-dimensional effect. Particularly popular on structured snapback caps and hats. Recommended for bold, simple logo shapes rather than fine-detail designs.

Fig. 03 — Chain Stitch Embroidery

Chain Stitch Embroidery

Produced using a special chain stitch machine, this technique creates a looped, textured stitch with a vintage or artisan aesthetic. Popular for denim jackets, varsity jackets and collector-edition pieces.

Fig. 04 — Chenille Patches

Chenille Patches

Custom chenille patches in any shape, woven with your design in a thick, textured yarn. Can be sewn directly onto garments or produced as iron-on patches. Classic varsity and college-style aesthetic.

Fig. 05 — Applique

Applique

Fabric pieces cut to shape and stitched onto the garment surface to create a layered, textured brand element. Available in any fabric type and colour.

Facility

High-Quality Embroidery Facility — Up to 15 Thread Colours Per Design

Embroidery on clothing adds a premium positioning that screen printing alone cannot achieve. ZN Apparel Manufacturers recommends embroidery for brands that want to position their product at a higher price point — the tactile quality of stitched thread on heavyweight fleece communicates craftsmanship in a way that a printed logo cannot.

FAQ

Embroidery, answered.

What is the maximum number of colours for embroidery?

We produce embroidery with up to 15 thread colours per design. For 3D puff embroidery, we recommend no more than 4 colours for clean results.

Do you offer embroidery on caps and hats?

Yes. Embroidered hat manufacturing is one of our most requested services. 3D puff embroidery is especially popular on structured snapback caps. Flat embroidery is available on dad hats, beanies and bucket hats.

Can I get a sample embroidery before placing a bulk order?

Yes. We produce a pre-production embroidery sample — sewn onto your actual garment — for approval before bulk embroidery production begins.
